This email newsletter article details some of the many ways Australian businesses had (in 2011) started using Apple’s iPad as a sales, marketing, and administrative tool. I wrote it in May 2011 for Square Circle Triangle and BlocksGlobal, and the two companies used it in their Winter 2011 e-newsletter, which was mailed to subscribers in July 2011.
I researched the subject by interviewing sales and administrative staff members at three Australian businesses and trying out their iPad applications and iPad-optimized websites.
In the article, I described how these companies were using the iPad in professional capacities—to display an enhanced product catalog for sales, to generate customized PDF sales brochures that could be instantly sent to customers, and to create and display interactive sales presentations, just to name a few.
Since I first published this article, the two partner companies (Square Circle Triangle and BlocksGlobal) have merged, and neither of the former companies’ old email newsletters are accessible online. If you’d like to read the article, please contact me for a copy.
