From June through August 2012, I worked with the staff at Cherise Hair & Beauty to write the text for the salon’s new website. Cherise Hair & Beauty is an award-winning salon, offering hair, facial, and body services to the residents of the northeastern suburbs of Melbourne. The website was launched in September 2012.
I visited the salon several times to learn about the staff members and the services they offer, and I interviewed the stylists, therapists, and customers at length. I also conducted several brief phone interviews, and I had my hair done by the salon’s owner and senior stylist, so I could write about their services first-hand.
Using Oxford Style guidelines, I then wrote text for 16 website pages:

I provided Cherise Hair & Beauty with one round of edits to the text, and I advised them on how to place the finalized text (and their images) into the Blocks content management system (CMS). I proofread the website content after it had been placed into the CMS, and I also added SEO (search engine optimization) keywords and information into the site.
