I wrote this article in February 2011 offering tips on how businesses and organizations can create better mobile applications. I published the article in March 2011 on the blog of Square Circle Triangle, a Melbourne-based web design studio, using the WordPress content management system (CMS).

In addition to online research, I interviewed two designers and one developer at Square Circle Triangle to prepare the story. I wrote the piece using Associated Press style guidelines.

I identified a number of issues that routinely arose during the app creation process, so I structured the article into a series of questions for prospective clients. By answering these questions in advance, prospective clients would be better prepared to address or avoid the most common problems.

Since I published this article, Square Circle Triangle has begun the process of rebranding itself as BlocksGlobal, and my article is no longer available on the company blog. If you’d like to read the article, please contact me for a copy.
